That’s not the opening line of a sci-fi movie—it’s Elon Musk’s latest declaration regarding Grok, the AI chatbot created by his company, xAI. This week, Musk revealed plans to overhaul Grok's training data to eliminate what he calls “hallucinated facts” and “political correctness.” In his words: “We’re going to build a better reality.”
Sounds bold. Sounds revolutionary.
But here’s the problem: when one man gets to decide what better means for 8 billion people, we should all start asking sharper questions.

Large Language Models (LLMs) like Grok, ChatGPT, and Gemini learn from the internet. That means they are shaped by human bias, media narratives, academic debates, and yes—sometimes misinformation. Musk believes much of that knowledge is “corrupted,” and he’s building Grok 4 to correct it by starting from scratch.
